Take a piece of Formentera home with you
The Arts and Crafts Markets are open from the beginning of May until mid-October. These markets sell products designed and produced in workshops on the island.
You can find samples of traditional or local handicrafts: baskets, espadrilles, jewellery, textiles, glass, ceramics, leather, painting and works produced by artists living on the island.
La Mola Craft Market
Open from the beginning of May until Pilar Day (12 October), on Wednesdays and Sundays from 4 pm to 10 pm in Pilar de la Mola.
It is Formentera’s main market, both in terms of the number of craftspeople and of visitors, and it has become a major meeting point. In its central square there is usually live music, and its surroundings are livened up by the terraces of the neighbouring bars. It was created as a private initiative of various artists and craftspeople and is currently struggling to maintain its original purpose: to display, sell and promote local craftsmanship. You can find authentic works of art and handmade souvenirs of the island.
Sant Ferran Craft Market
Sant Ferran Art Market: Open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 20:30h to midnight. It has become a major meeting place where painters and artists exhibit their art inspired by the island. The artists occasionally organise children’s activities to encourage and stimulate creativity in the young and it is animated every Saturday with live music. Open from 29 May to 30 September.
The “Antoni Tur Gabrielet” craft centre
Open from Monday to Saturday and has many different uses. On the one hand, it is a “peasant” market selling local food products: fruit, vegetables, eggs and locally produced honey. On the other hand, there is an art exhibition room that includes workshops for the recovery of local crafts.

- Market of Sant Francesc: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 14:00h. Mondays and Tuesdays (only July and August) also from 20:00 to 00:00h.
- Es Pujols Market: Monday to Sunday from 19:00 to 00:00h.
- La Savina Market: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 00:00h.
- Second hand market: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11:00 to 14:00h throughout the year in the Garden of Ses Eres, in Sant Francesc Xavier.
