Migjorn: Five kilometres of paradisiacal beaches.<\/h2>\n

Migjorn is the name given to the south coast of Formentera, with a five-kilometre stretch of paradisiacal beaches. This is the longest beach on the island and is made up of various coves interspersed with rocky and sandy areas. Each of them has its own name and has several access points<\/h3>\n

In the westernmost area you can find the Mal Pas beach followed by Es Ca Mar\u00ed, Es Rac\u00f3 Fondo, Es Codol Foradat<\/b>, Es Valencians beach, Es Arenals and finally Es Copinar to the east. Each one has its own characteristics, some being more suitable than others for bathing. The most popular are Ca Mar\u00ed, Es Arenals and Es Copinar because they have a perfect sandy seabed<\/b> extending out to sea. However, the shore can vary every season because the winter currents have a great influence on the shaping of this coast, which can surprise visitors with new areas that come and go depending on the year.<\/p>\n

In this part of the island there are all kinds of accommodations of different sizes and prices; including apartments, hotels and small family establishments. All of them blend in perfectly with the features of this natural landscape. The services also include many seafood restaurants<\/b> and cosy beach bars with a lot of charm, which maintain their atmosphere even in the low season. This range of services not only attracts visitors but is also frequented by residents who want to enjoy what their island has to offer.<\/p>\n

Being such a long beach with so many facilities, it is highly recommended for families, particularly because it is usually sheltered from the prevailing winds in the summer and because it has shallow waters and sandy bottoms where it is safe to swim. Furthermore, although it may not seem so at first glance due to its southern orientation, it is also an ideal place to enjoy the sunset at any of its beach bars and kiosks, a very special sunset behind the plenitude of the Formentera horizon.<\/p>\n

To reach this part of the island you just have to take one of the many turn-offs to the south on the main road, once you have passed the village of Sant Ferran<\/b> in the direction of La Mola.<\/p>\n

Finally, special mention should be made of the neighbouring cove of Cal\u00f3 des Mort, a small sandy beach surrounded by rocks covered with fisherman’s huts that rise up under the cliffs to the east of Migjorn. It is not part of this beach but you can easily reach it on foot. This place is just a perfect picture of the seafaring Formentera of yesteryear, with a breathtaking landscape of clear waters and white sand, a place not to be missed.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1657530393375{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]<\/p>\n
